The role of St. Francis Healthcare Foundation of Hawaii, established in 1984 as an entity of St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii, is to raise funds, acquire and hold assets, and provide community education that enhance and support the activities of the healthcare system and our entities.
St. Francis Healthcare Foundation relies on the support, involvement and generosity of the community so St. Francis Healthcare System can continue to provide health care services for Hawaii’s people. Charitable contributions help ensure funds will be available to meet current and future needs.
Gifts to St. Francis Healthcare Foundation are vital, which allow us to provide:
- Financial assistance to patients who may need hospice care or palliative care
- Tuition assistance for older adults who may need structured services at adult day care
- Quality preschool education to prepare young children for kindergarten
- Baths to frail elderly in their homes
- Technology upgrades to support electronic medical records
- Transportation for senior residents living at our affordable housing complex in Ewa Villages
- Spiritual care to patients and their families of all faiths
- Food and personal care items to homeless individuals on the Waianae Coast

If you work for an organization that supports Aloha United Way or for the federal government that runs the Combined Federal Campaign, you can help St. Francis create healthy communities by supporting the following during the designated campaign periods:
- Francis Healthcare Foundation #72780
- Francis Hospice – The Sister Maureen Keleher Center
Hawaii-Area Combined Federal Campaign Participating Charity
- Francis Community Health Services #33315
This is an excellent way to give back to the community and to maximize the impact of your gift.
Matching Gifts Program
Many companies also match their employees’ contributions to a favorite charitable nonprofit organization. If you work at a company or business that matches gifts, your donation to St. Francis to help create healthy communities can be doubled when it is matched by your employer. Check with your Human Resources department to find out if your company offers a matching gift program.
