Get ready to tee off at the 2016 Golf Healthy Challenge golf tournament at the 27-hole Hawaii Prince Golf Club on Thursday, May 5, 2016. All proceeds will go toward the ongoing transformation of the St. Francis Kupuna Village in Liliha, Hawaii’s first one-stop health and wellness community for seniors.
Thanks to the support of those who participated in the 2015 golf tournament, St. Francis Healthcare System was able to successfully complete Phase I of the Liliha campus transformation: a 119-bed skilled nursing facility, which occupies the top three floors of the Sullivan Building, now operated by Ohana Pacific Management.
Proceeds from this year’s golf tournament will support the next phases of development, which includes a senior community center for health and wellness classes for seniors, a bistro for healthier meal options, adult day care program, assisted living facility with a floor dedicated for the Sisters of St. Francis, caregiver education, training and support with simulation room for hands-on demonstrations, and an independent living community.
“It will be a day filled with good food and good fun, all for a good cause,” said Sister William Marie Eleniki, OSF, President of the St. Francis Healthcare Foundation, who is spearheading the golf tournament.
This year, three-person team sponsorship opportunities are available as well as other sponsorship levels:
- Anthony of Padua Sponsorship: $1,500
- Clare of Assisi Sponsorship: $3,000
- Francis of Assisi Sponsorship: $5,000
- Marianne Cope Sponsorship: $10,000
- Saints Sponsorship: $20,000
