Following in the Footsteps of a Saint
Mahalo to all of the sponsors, walkers and volunteers who participated in the Third Annual Saint Marianne Cope Charity Walk on Saturday, January 30, 2016 .
Many arrived early that morning to take a leisurely one-mile walk starting at Kewalo Basin Park, where the Saint Marianne Statue is located, to Ala Moana Beach Park and back. Others chose the longer two-mile walk from Kewalo Basin Park to Magic Island and back.
Proceeds from the walk will support St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii’s Charity Care Fund to provide financial assistance to cover the cost of care for those who cannot afford it.
Team prizes awarded to Team Domingo also known as the “Sweet Angels” for Cutest Team; Team Val Santiago for the Craziest Hats; and a Special Recognition was presented to Team Lionakis, architects involved Phase 2 of the St. Francis Kupuna Village.
