“It is in giving that we receive.”
Francis of Assisi
Aloha!
The holidays are always an exciting time. It is a time for families to get together, talk story, and catch up on what’s happening in each others’ lives. Of course, it’s also a time to enjoy great food together. For many, it’s also a time to exchange gifts.
The St. Francis Healthcare System team gives in a special way. Just as the wise men responded to the news about the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord, by bringing gifts to Him, we likewise feel compelled to bring our best gifts to the Lord today. We present ourselves before Him. We present our time and our resources to allow God to accomplish great things through St. Francis Healthcare System. Like Saint Marianne, we are honored to be His vessels and are hungry for the work of serving Hawaii’s people.
This past year, we have widened our circle of partners and broadened our service to more families, all by God’s grace and wisdom. We know family is important to us here in the Islands, and we also know the reality of taking care of aging loved ones. It can be very challenging. We appreciate all of the families we have touched this past year. They candidly shared their stories and poured out their hearts. It has been a privilege to serve all of them.
Their stories inspire us to keep moving forward. They remind us of the reason God has called us into this healthcare ministry. We must press forward to become all that we are called to do and be to serve God and Hawaii’s people.
We look forward to introducing more programs and services in 2017, so that we can continue to create healthy communities!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
