The spacious, 15,000-square-foot St. Francis Intergenerational Center in Ewa Villages will soon be filled to capacity after more in the community have an opportunity to see the beautiful new facility. An open house event is scheduled for Sunday, July 21, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to the public. The preschool and adult day center at St. Francis Intergenerational Center will be especially appealing to residents of Ewa Beach, Kapolei and Makakilo.
The adult day center has the capacity to serve up to 42 adults each day, and provides supervised support to those who may need assistance with activities of daily living and companionship during the day so that their caregivers can go to work and have peace of mind knowing their loved one is in good hands. The preschool can serve up to 88 children ages 3 to 6. The preschool offers a program that combines Montessori and traditional teaching methods that will help prepare children for kindergarten.
The open house will include tours of the 4,000-square-foot adult day center, which features an activity room, lounge and patio. It is comfortably furnished with activity tables and chairs, recliners, a sofa, grand piano, a high-definition TV, games, and more. The tours will also showcase the four preschool classrooms with specially designed furniture for children.
