Be among the first to enroll in St. Francis Preschool. Located in Ewa Villages, the St. Francis Intergenerational Center houses a preschool and adult day care under one roof. It’s a great way for keiki and kupuna to share their love and energy with each other, while also meeting the needs of parents and family caregivers, especially those in today’s sandwich generation, who must care for both young children and aging parents.

ST. FRANCIS PRESCHOOL

Preschool - computers webEvery child deserves a great start. Put your child on the path for success in a nurturing environment, where your child can learn and grow socially, morally, spiritually, intellectually, and physically, surrounded by positive Catholic values. Our curriculum combines Montessori teaching principles and materials with “traditional” preschool methods that include teacher-directed, theme-based lessons and creative play. Children at St. Francis Preschool experience the best of both worlds as they embark on an educational journey that encourages creativity, independence and learning. Children ages 3-6 years are grouped in mixed ages in the preschool’s four classrooms. Appealing to young children and their boundless imagination, classrooms are filled with child-size Amish furniture, books, educational toys, and whimsical ceiling tiles with marine life and things that fly. Outdoor playtime and fun await in the spacious playground space and yard featuring playground equipment, sandbox and meandering pathways to ride tricyles and three-wheel scooters.

COMMITTED TO CHILDRENpreschool 2

Caring is evident in all that we offer at St. Francis Preschool. We seek to instill the love of Christ in our students. Our teachers work together with parents to empower their children with the skills and knowledge for success as they prepare for kindergarten. We respect all students and support their individual potential for growth, while celebrating their accomplishments and contributions.

INTERGENERATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Intergenerational 070913With preschool and adult day care at the St. Francis Intergenerational Center, the young and the young-at-heart come together to share in everyday experiences. These include structured activities such as games, art, music, and cultural celebrations, as well as casual interaction. Here, the two generations’ reciprocal needs are met. Young children want to be nurtured and older adults want to nurture; young children are curious and want to learn while older adults are eager to share what they know. You’ll see tricycles parked side-by-side next to wheelchairs.
