St. Francis Hospice ushers in the Christmas season by remembering loved ones during the annual Light Up A Memory tree lighting ceremony and fundraiser, held the first two Fridays of December. It will be an opportunity to celebrate with friends and family who know how important St. Francis Hospice has been in our lives. The events will be held at St. Francis Hospice (Nuuanu) on Friday, December 6, at 6 p.m. and at St. Francis Hospice West (Ewa Beach) at Friday, December 13, also at 6 p.m.
As in previous years, you will have the opportunity to have a laminated star with the name of each of your loved ones hung on one of the Christmas trees on the front lawn of your choice at either St. Francis Hospice Nuuanu or St. Francis Hospice West in Ewa Beach. You’ll be able to have the stars as keepsakes after the ceremony or anytime during the holiday season. Call St. Francis Hospice at 595-7566 for more details about how you can have a star in honor of your friend or family member. Heavy pupu and entertainment will be available after the tree blessings at both locations.
Bishop Larry Silva, of the Diocese of Honolulu, will be blessing the Christmas trees at St. Francis Hospice Nuuanu. Na Hoku Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Award winner Marlene Sai will also be sharing her elegant, graceful voice with us at St. Francis Hospice Nuuanu. For your convenience, valet parking will be available at both the Nuuanu and Ewa Beach locations.
This Christmas season, please consider making a donation to St. Francis Hospice, so that more families can receive care and comfort in their time of need. We will be able to help patients and families in need of hospice care and bereavement support, and further develop our hospice program.
